About the YMCA of San Diego County
The YMCA of San Diego County is a nonprofit with a mission to nurture a healthy spirit, mind, and body so all can thrive while honoring our faith-based heritage. The YMCA of San Diego County is the largest YMCA association in the nation, serving nearly 400,000 San Diego County residents and employing more than 4,500 people.
Through a variety of programs and services focused on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y unites men, women and children — regardless of age, income or background — to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation’s health and well-being, and provide opportunities to give back and support neighbors.
As the nation’s leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community, the Y believes strong communities are possible only when we invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. To bring about meaningful change, individuals need ongoing support, encouragement and connections to others — all of which the Y provides in abundance.
