The benefits of working with a personal trainer are endless! If you’ve been thinking about hiring a personal trainer, April is a great month to get started! Starting Tuesday, April 1, members can purchase packages online — filter for your branch and look for “Personal Training Special” — or visit any location. A branch wellness leader will then contact you to discuss your goals and connect you with a trainer.

CHILD WATCH
Y Community Plus members with family memberships have unlimited access to Child Watch services at 12 YMCA branch locations across San Diego County. With easy reservations through the YMCA app, you can focus on your fitness or unwind at the Y while your children play under the supervision of highly trained YMCA staff. Not yet a Y Community Plus member? Current Y members can upgrade to the Y Community Plus membership plan by stopping by any location. If you currently have Child Watch services as an add-on to your family membership, you may continue to use Child Watch services on a drop-in basis. Learn more here.

PICKLEBALL OUTDOOR COURTS
We are excited to announce our outdoor pickleball courts will be opening January 15! Join us for open play every Wednesday and Friday, 9:00–11:00am, with one-hour sessions on a first-come, first-served basis. Free for members, $5 for non-members. Limited equipment available. Visit the Welcome Center to receive your play pass.

Les Mills GRIT
Want to burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time? Try our 30-minute high intensity Les Mills GRIT class on Thursday evenings at 5:30pm.
LIVESTRONG AT THE YMCA
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA engages cancer survivors through an approach that focuses on the whole person — mind and body. Participants work with trained Y staff to improve cardiovascular endurance and functional ability, build muscle mass and strength, and increase flexibility. In addition to physical benefits, the program also focuses on the mental and emotional well-being of survivors and their families. This creates a supportive community environment where people affected by cancer can connect during treatment and beyond. Get more information online Learn more about the program.

Events and Special Activities
PARENTS NIGHT OUT
Drop your kids off at the Y for our fun-filled event and enjoy a night out on Fridays, 5:00pm – 8:00pm. View. We’ll provide dinner and beverages. We will have play time, creative crafts and activities and enjoy watching a fun movie! Event is for ages 3-12 years old. Children must be potty trained to attend. Cost for participants: $40 (Y members receive up to 25% off!) – Reserve your spot today!
